Competitor analysis

In the discovery phase, we benchmarked 8 Ukrainian solar energy providers (Sun-Energy, Solar-Tech, SonceDim, AlfaSolar, EkoTechnik, and others). Analyzing their catalog structures, turnkey solar kit presentations, and ROI calculators revealed the primary industry pain point: visual clutter and overwhelming technical specs.

User personas

We developed 4 detailed user personas representing distinct buying scenarios: homeowners seeking energy independence, private investors targeting feed-in tariff returns, and commercial facility managers. For each persona, we mapped budget expectations, technical barriers, and contractor trust factors.

User journey map

We mapped the Customer Journey (CJM) across 8 stages: from initial awareness of passive solar income and contractor vetting to comparing options, ordering a turnkey station, and post-purchase upgrades. At every step, user pain points and emotional dips were paired with specific UI solutions.

User flow

We architected a comprehensive User Flow diagram uniting informational corporate pages with a full e-commerce funnel. The flow charts paths through the ROI calculator, turnkey station packages, catalog product comparisons, and checkout.

Home

The Solar Market home page pairs a clean blue-and-white tech aesthetic with data-driven financial arguments. It showcases annual generation and revenue metrics, target sectors (private homes, commercial roofs, agribusiness), an investment comparison between a 30 kW solar plant and rental real estate, a map of completed installations across Ukraine, and installation stages.

Home page

Feed-in tariff

The dedicated Feed-in Tariff page explains the legal and financial mechanics of selling surplus solar energy to the grid. It features a comparison table of cost and payback across 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 kW stations, adoption growth charts, and a 4-step guide to utility contract registration.

Turnkey solutions

The Turnkey Solutions page helps homeowners choose between grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid solar systems without navigating complex component specs. At the bottom, 3 pre-configured packages—Start (5 kW), Pro (15 kW), and Ultra (20 kW)—compare included hardware, annual savings, and payback periods.

Profit calculator

An interactive 7-step profit calculator quiz turns complex solar engineering math into a guided visual flow. Users select their region on the map of Ukraine, building type, roof pitch, orientation, monthly electricity bill, and shading to receive an instant estimate of annual USD revenue, recommended system capacity, and payback period.

Tablet version

We crafted dedicated tablet layouts frequently used by field engineers during on-site assessments and sales consultations. Profit metric cards, investment comparisons, and catalog grids are restructured into balanced 2-column layouts.
